Merry Mistletoe from Stampin' Up! again!

Hi everyone,

I'm still on my Merry Mistletoe marathon!! Today another simple but lovely little card.

Pretty little Christmas card featuring a stamped and heat embossed reindeer from Stampin' Up!'s Merry Mistletoe set

Back to using this lovely reindeer silhouette stamp. I have heat embossed the reindeer in gold, fussy cut around him and mounted him on dimensionals. I have again used our Whisper White note cards and made a background using the Year of Cheer Washi tape. The card is finished off with a few mini gold sequins.

Short and sweet today! Hope you like the card! Let me know in the comments.

And more Merry Mistletoe from Stampin' Up!

Hi there everyone,

I hope by now you'll have realised that I really LOVE this stamp set. I just can't stop playing with it. Today's card is a bit of a variation on yesterday's but in a more unusual colour combination.

Merry Mistletoe from Stampin' Up! - bright colourful Christmas card

This time I've stamped the trees on an assortment of bright colours with coordinating inks and used the "Merry and Bright" greeting from the "Hearts Come Home" set. Some people might be shocked that I actually cut up the stamp so that I could position it horizontally, but I am quite happy to do that if it means the stamp can be more versatile.
I wonder what you all think of this card?

I have a feeling that it might be a case of "Marmite" - you'll either love it or hate it. I'm definitely on the "love" side. In fact this might be the card that I reproduce en mass to send as my card this year.

Would you believe me if I told you that I still have several more cards made with the Merry Mistletoe set to show you? Really is my favourite set this Christmas

I'll be back tomorrow with more - if you haven't made a start on your Christmas cards yet, now would be a great time to start!

More Christmas cards with Merry Mistletoe from Stampin' Up!

Hi there everyone,

Do you remember this card I showed you a few weeks ago?

And this one:

And this one?

The one thing these cards all have in common is that they use the "Merry Mistletoe" set.

And that's not all - I've been playing again and have lots more samples using this set to show you. If you were undecided about which stamp set you need this year for your Christmas cards, maybe this will help you decide - so many possibilities with this set. And if you order today, you can take advantage of the free shipping offer.

So would you like to see the results of my "playing"? Here is one of the cards I've made:

I love the simplicity and clean lines of this card so much and it couldn't be easier to make. I just chose 4 different colours of green card stock and the four co-ordinating inks. I stamped the little Christmas tree on the green cardstock and then fussy cut them. I cut a piece of white glimmer paper with a wavy border and mounted it on a note card with dimensionals. I placed the trees randomly along the glimmer paper, again mounted on dimensionals. I then added a "Merry Christmas" greeting from the "Teeny Tiny Sentiments" set, in black ink and the card was complete. So simple but completely lovely! Hope you like it as much as me!

Back soon with some more Merry Mistletoe fun!

Jill

Concertina congratulations card with Stampin' Up! Large Letters

Hi there,

A couple of weeks ago, hundreds of us Independent Stampin' Up! demos met together for our bi-annual corporate event called On Stage. One of the features of this event is recognition of those demos who have done particularly well with Stampin' Up! over the past year. And I'm so happy to report that my upline, Caroline, of CraftyCarolineCreates, was recognised for being in the top 5 UK demonstrators in all three categories of Sales, Recruitment and Leadership and was ranked at number 83 in the Global 100. Such wonderful achievements and I wanted to make an extra special card to recognise her achievements. My card was inspired by samples I had seen on Pinterest by other demos - namely Julie Kettlewell and Joanne James - thank you ladies for your inspiration!

It was very tricky to get a photo that does justice to the card as it is so long but narrow. It is a concertina card with 17 panels! The next photo might give a better view - taken at a slightly different angle!

As you can see, once again I have used the Large Letter dies. I know that these are a considered purchase but I have used them so much they have repaid my investment many times over. Maybe they could go on your Christmas wish list?

I had such fun making this card and my head is buzzing with all kinds of other occasions it could be adapted for - watch this space for my Christmas version coming soon!

If you would like to make your version of the card above, here are the measurements you will need:

4 strips of Thick Very Vanilla card - 11 3/4 ins x 3 3/4 ins. Score these at 2 3/4 ins, 5 1/2 ins, 8 1/4 ins and 11 ins. On the first panel add one more scoreline at 2 1/8 ins

You will also need one more panel in the same cardstock measuring 3 3/4 ins x 2 3/4 ins.

In Crumb Cake, 17 panels measuring 3 1/4 ins x 2 1/4 ins

In "Bundle of Love" DSP,  17 panels measuring 2 ins x 3 ins.

The small panel for the front of the card measures 7/8 in x 3 1/4 ins in Crumb Cake and 5/8 in x 3 ins in DSP.

I have made a video tutorial to show how I made my card which you can see HERE

Of course I forgot to take a photo of the Very Vanilla and Gold card when it was closed and secured with ribbon before I sent it off to its recipient (doh!) but here is the one I made on the video which is much the same except different colours.

And here is the card I made on the video:

Which one is your favourite?
